Darlene West is a nonfiction writer in British Columbia. She honed her writing and reporting skills as a business reporter, a trade journal editor, and a travel guide author and has written about journeys, places, food, wine, and outdoor adventure for literary journals, national magazines, and newspapers.

She lives in British Columbia’s southern Okanagan Valley with her husband, their border collie, 20 acres of grapevines, and a dozen assorted fruit trees.

Darlene West is a long-time member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and has been a member of the judging panel for ASJA’s annual writing awards in several magazine and book categories.
