Darlene West is a nonfiction writer in British Columbia. She honed her writing and reporting skills as a business reporter, a trade journal editor, and a travel guide author.
Her essays have appeared in The Common, The Smart Set and The Morning News. As a travel journalist, she has written for The Globe and Mail, National Geographic Traveler, and Frommer’s travel guides.
Darlene’s favorite landscape to explore with a camera is her own backyard, a wine and fruit producing valley in the southern interior of British Columbia.
